Ethical Dilemma

Victor Frankenstein's monster has a very great request. He requests that Victor create a monster exactly like him, but female. He uses ethos to appeal to Victor's emotion. The monster explains how he feels alone, and needs someone to keep him company, just like Satan in Paradise Lost. This creates an ethical dilemma in Victor Frankenstein's heart on whether to create another monster, or leave the existing one alone.

The question on if Victor should create a monster runs through his brain. If he creates the monster, he would be creating another beast just like the first. This giant would be appalling to all mankind, and may end up being violent as well. Constructing a second monster may lead to the killing of more people, which might be a reason to not create it. Also, this monster may want more than her male counterpart as a companion. She may run away from him into a village full of people, scaring the residents. If he does not submit to the monster and meet his demands, the monster would torture Victor Frankenstein forever. This could mean anything. More family could be killed, Victor could be killed, or innocent people could be killed if not tortured. The monster demonstrates he is able to kill and ruin people, so that is not a question. The question is how far he will go to torture his creator until his demands are met. The monster claims he will go to South America to get away from humanity in the jungle, but he may go back on that promise, or it may just not work out. The possibility of them leaving could be ruined, and then what would happen?

If I were Victor Frankenstein, I would create a second monster. In this scenario, there is a possibility of no one getting hurt as opposed to if he didn't make the monster, people are guaranteed to be hurt. This is the lesser of 2 evils, and it is what I hope Victor chooses.
